I am concerned about Dick (Eugene) Marshall, an elderly gentleman who lived on North Tinkle Road in Port Bolivar. He may be with his daughter Rhonda, who also lived in the same area. Does anyone have any information on them?

Has anyone heard from Bruce and Skip Haire. They used to own the 3 Dolphins on Elsie Street just past Rollover. We got to know them when we were renting their beach property and wanted to check and make sure they were OK. They also own a place in Gilchrist, I believe. Please let us know if anyone has heard from them. Thanks—Mary Hall, Rose Green, Beth Stanley, Betty Maxwell, Charlene Martinez, Debra DialOre City, TXOur thoughts and prayers are with everyone down there. If we can do anything, please let us know.
Our hearts just hurt for the people of the Gilchrist area. My husband pastored the Baptist church at Gilchrist '67-'68. We loved living on the beach. From the pictures, we think the house the church rented for us to live in was on the location of the only standing house.. just behind the church. We are concerned about C.L. and Sandy Roots, who we think were still there as pastor and wife of FBC Gilchrist. I do not see them in the list of survivors. In later years the church had a parsonage, I think on Butterfly, but it was also on the Gulf side of the beach and it seems to be gone. We are praying for all of you, Barbara and Jerry Clower Abilene, Texas
WE FOUND YOUR WEBSITE THAT WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ACCESS TO BLOG ON. OUR UNCLE IS EDDIE "BAREFOOT" NELSON AND HE LIVED ON CRYSTAL BEACH AND LAST TIME WE SPOKE WITH HIM WAS FRIDAY EVENING. WE ARE GETTING NO ASSISTANCE FROM THE LOCAL AUTHOURITIES IN KNOWING IF HE IS ALIVE AND THERE OR WHERE HE POSSIBLY BE AND WE HAVE BEEN BLOGGING ALL OVER THE INTERNET IN HOPES OF SOMEONE KNOWING HIM AND KNOWING IF MADE IT THROUGH THE STORM. WE ARE IN ALBABAMA AND WE FEEL HELPLESS IN NOT BEING ABLE TO DO ANYTHING.
